Description

Sablefish (Black Cod) is also called butterfish for its buttery, rich, mild, and unique flavor. It has a velvety and soft texture with large and snow-white flakes. The upper half body is darker gray and the lower half of the body is lighter gray with a white belly. The meat contains even more levels of Omega-3 and nutrients than salmon. The sablefish or black cod has white flesh when raw and golden-yellow flesh when smoked.
